As the pioneer of the low emissions motoring back in 1998 when Toyota launched the first-generation Prius, the Japanese carmaker looks forward to the future with the production of the new Toyota Mirai, which is a 100 per cent zero emission vehicle.
Mirai, which means ‘future’ in Japanese, is a hydrogen fuel cell car that has the same principle with the Hyundai ix35 FCV. The system works by mixing hydrogen from a tank with oxygen in the air to generate electricity, which powers the motor connected to the front wheels.
The car comes with technology and safety kit, heated rear seats, touchscreen navigation, automatic braking and blind spot monitoring included as standard. The exterior styling may not meet your taste, but the exceptional interior will melt your heart. Toyota Mirai is the most luxurious car Toyota has built without a Lexus badge, with seats, steering wheel and dashboard, all wrapped in leather.
If you are wondering the price of the Toyota Mirai, it is £66,000 which may seem unreasonable, but Toyota is working on the qualification for a ULEV government grant, which can help to lower the price as much as £15,000. Toyota also offers its customers £750 per month for everything, including the service, fuel, and tyres.
