Subaru Australia has released the images and details of the latest Subaru WRX STI-based race car, which was first announce three months ago. The price of this new model is $38, 000 including GST but not delivery, which is $11, 000 cheaper that the Subaru WRX STI motorsport-only sedan.
The new Subaru WRX STI NR4 that was prepared for Subaru Australia weighs just 1480lh and comes with an exclusive 2.0-litrer turbo boxer engine producing 227kW at 6400rpm and 422Nm at 4400rpm, which is more than the 221kW/407Nm of the local 2.5-liter Subaru STI.
The non-road-registerable Subaru NR4’s standard 3.9:1 final drive ratio remains and enormous 17-inch Brembo brake discs are fitted all-round, putting it behind 18-inch alloys shod with 245/40/R18 tyres. Two body paint colors are available for customers to choose, which are WR Blue and white.
