Ford has gone through several discussion of whether they will get a lot of customers with Ford Fiesta RS. Ford knows that the model will be a big hit in the Europe market, since their fans will go for it, but Ford aims to focus on projects that they think will have a more global reach.
With Ford Fiesta RS’s inadequate purview and appeal, it would fall into that line of thinking. Future products need to be considered with a global market perspective in mind.
Ford is focusing on producing a performance SUV instead, giving a hint that a ST variant of the C520 Kuga may be revealed soon. This news is following after Ford feels that there is a better spot in the market for the ST than the RS crossover.
