In the US one of the most popular vehicles is the sedan and there are many makes and models on the market. So if you take the Honda Accord, Ford Fusion, Toyota Camry and the Mazda 6, which comes out ahead?
All of the vehicles are around the same for the exterior and interior and all have four doors with a powertrain that is similar and a price tag of around $30,000 with enough tech to account for it. We also factored in the fuel economy, handling and the ride.
Anyone who wants a car for driving around on a daily basis might want to take a look at the Toyota Camry. It comes with the biggest interior and largest boot space and the seats can be folded down flat. There is also plenty of leg and shoulder room in the vehicle but it offers a ride that can be predictable and the responses can be heavy and dull.
The Ford Fusion offers a cabin that is clean looking but stark and there are some controls that can be difficult to use. It comes with the 1.6 litre EcoBoost engine and it comes in as the slowest. It is also the worst for offering fuel efficiency. The plus side is that the vehicle looks good and it drives just as good.
The views out of the cabin of the Honda Accord are great and if you drive along lots of twisty roads it is perfect. The seating is comfortable and the suspension and steering is accurate and there is a lot of room. It comes with the 2.4 litre 4 cylinder engine with CVT.
The Mazda 6 comes with crisp steering and a sleek looking design and its cabin would be right at home in the BMW Motorsport catalogue. You should be able to get 35.6mpg and there is plenty of space for two adults along with a child seat.
So would you choose the Toyota Camry, Mazda 6, Honda Accord or the Ford Fusion?
