Back in September last year, Apple launched the all-new iPhone 5S and became a global phenomenon. That was the case until a few days later when Samsung launched the all-new Galaxy Note 3 which disrupted the iPhone 5Sā peaceful release. Between both devices, which is better?
The first major difference between the two smartphones is the size. The Note 3 is obviously bigger than its rival due to the large 5.7ā screen that is embedded on its body. The glass panel runs at 1080p resolution, which is also sharper than the iPhone 5S. The latter has a smaller 4ā retina display that offers 326ppi.
Under the casing, the Note 3 is powered by a 2.3GHz quad core processor with 3GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage. The iPhone 5S is slightly slower as it runs on the A7 chipset that has a 64-bit architecture. Also, the iPhone 5S has 2GB of RAM and 16/32/64GB of internal storage.
This is an advantage for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 as it has added microSD support of u to 64GB. Also, the phablet has a large 3,200mAh battery which ensures that it is able to last way longer than the iPhone 5S.
In terms of photography, the Note 3 is equipped with a 13MP rear camera and 2MP front shooter. Again, the pixel count is so much more than the 8MP rear camera and 1.5MP front shooter on the Apple iPhone 5S.
The only thing great about the Cupertino device is that it runs on the iOS platform which has a smoothness that is unrivalled in the smartphone market.
Of course this is not enough to prevent the Note 3 from claiming total victory. The giant smartphone is just too powerful and feature-packed for the iPhone 5S to handle.
