Rumours were quick to reveal that Mercedes-Benz is considering getting Renault-Nissan to develop their upcoming pickup truck and this has come true.
Renaull-Nissan wrote on their automotive blog that the future Mercedes-Benz Pickup truck will be based on the NP300/Navara. In other words, the future pickup truck from Mercedes is going to get classified in the mid-sized truck segment.
Renault-Nissan was also kind enough to hare that the pickup truck will get produced in 2020. The Barcelona plant will produce about 120,000 vehicles annually for the three partners, while the Cordoba plant will produce nearly 70,000 vehicles a year.
