Owners of the Toyota Prius V hybrids affected in the recall have received phone calls from Toyota if they are involved in the recall of cars that were made between 2014 and 2015. In total Prius say that around 5,000 vehicles are affected in the recall.
The issue affecting the Toyota Prius is down to the Occupant Classification system and this is what activates the passenger side airbag and if there should be an accident the airbag may not work as it should.
At the moment Toyota haven’t reported any injuries and owners of the Toyota Prius that are involved in the recall are being notified and given free calibrations.
