Qoros is going to introduce the all-new Qoros 5 SUV at the upcoming Guangzhou Motor Show next month. The new model is likely to be larger than the Qoros 3 City SUV that was shown in Geneva earlier this year.
The Qoros 5 will get the 1.6-liter four that powers the Qoros 3 family. The engine has been seen far in the turbocharged and atmospheric facades, with a dual-clutch or a six-speed manual transmission. The front-wheel drive will come standard, although the all-wheel drive can be an option.
In terms of the design, the Qoros 5 SUV has a bit of the Porsche Macan in it, particularly around the rear of the greenhouse. Also, the car takes on some of the Range Rover Evoque at the front fenders, and Mini Countryman for the rounded tailgate.
Well, we all know that China is famous for its supreme copycat skill, but we hope that the carmaker stays far away from stealing other cars’ look. Maybe it is just a coincidence, right?
