Porsche’s Purer 911 GT: Could It Be The GT5?

Some months ago, Porsche was spotted filing a patent for the name GT5. It basically hints on a new GT car getting produced for the near future and the rumours are rife in claiming it to be the Macan GT.

However, a new reveal made by Porsche earlier today suggests that it won’t be a Macan but a 911 instead. In detail, Porsche shared that they are developing a special version of the 911 GT. This upcoming model will be focused on improving driving experience.

Porsche shared that they want the upcoming 911 GT to get drivers to be more engaged hence the future car will be coming out with a traditional manual gearbox. The vehicle’s setup will be simplistic instead of comprehensive and this is so that drivers can have easier access to the car’s pure power.

Unfortunately, Porsche didn’t share any further details on the 911 GT but we can expect it to run on the 3.8L V6 sourced from the GT3. With that being said, do you still think that the GT5 is going to be a Macan?
