Then again, when picking the best SUV, it is not about popularity. The Range Rover Evoque has been making a name for being ferocious and powerful at the same time. Now, let’s see how the Macan performs when contesting against the Evoque.
Putting both SUVs side-by-side, the Evoque is truly the better looking vehicle. Its fierce design and large grille gives off the impression that it is very reliable. The Macan simply looks like an oversized Cayenne.
The Evoque is powered by the 187bhp 2.2-litre engine which is by far the best diesel mill ever. That is until the Macan came out with the 254bhp 3.0-litre V6 diesel which offers more power than its rival.
Furthermore, the Porsche Macan has a higher air suspension, which allows it to take on a hill of 19 degrees. This is slightly better than the Evoque, which can only push for 18 degrees.
Even on handling, there is no challenging the Macan. In sports mode, the SUV swift on the roads like a boss. It is even able to go through S-turns and bends with ease. This is amazing as there has yet to be an SUV that can offer such handling. Porsche really delivered its promise where the Macan will drive like the 911 sports car.
While the Evoque might not get the luxury treatment, it still manages to offer a decent drive. The vehicle can cruise so smoothly that drivers and passengers can be put at ease.
All in all, it is the Macan that comes on top and it isn’t surprising really. The SUV is simply the best at everything it does. No wonder there is a long line of consumers aiming to purchase the car.
