During the LA Auto Show last year, Porsche unveiled the all new Macan.
e It is basically a compact SUV which is smaller than the Cayenne and the Panamera. Now, the vehicle has reach its destination, Malaysia.
It was demonstrated in Damansara recently and will be on sale in Q4 this year. In detail, the Porsche Macan will be available in September.
Despite its smaller built, the Macan has so much power to offer. The entry level will run on a 2.0 litre turbo four engine which offers 237bhp and 350Nm of torque. Power output is 0 to 100km/h in 6.9 seconds and it has a top speed of 223km/h.
Performance-wise, the Macan ticks every box which came as a surprise as the car is energy efficient. For such a performance, the Macan achieves 100km with 7.2 litres of petrol. This is thanks to the NEDC combined cycle.
The next level is identified to be the Macan S, Macan S Diesel and the Macan S Turbo. The standard Macan S is fitted with a 3.0 V6 bitturbo and this can offer 340bhp along with 460Nm, 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.4 seconds and a top speed of around 254km/h.
The Diesel variant, on the other hand, is built for efficiency. It runs on the 3.0 V6 biturbo and it should offer 245bhp along with 580Nm and reach 100 in 6.3 seconds. This comes with a record of 6.3 litres per 100km.
Finally is the Macan Turbo. This mean machine is powered by the new 3.6 litre V6 biturbo engine, which offers 400bhp, 550Nm, reaches 100km in 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 266km/h.
All four vehicles will be priced at R M450k, RM560k, RM550k and RM780k respectively.
