A public announcement on Nintendo’s website has revealed an extended period for maintenance from Monday, 6 January 2014 at 6PM Pacific Time. The affected services involve Nintendo 3DS along with Online Play, Rankings and many more for Pokemon X & Y.
On that same note, Nintendo warned players that during the maintenance, parts of the affected services may be intermittently unavailable. Some players are caught being unhappy with the sudden extended maintenance.
In spite of everything, majority of the fans sees this as a hint that Pokebank is coming for a release. Previous release of the Pokebank saw the entire eShop crashing and Nintendo wouldn’t want to repeat that same error.
As such, it could be that the game developer is preparing the stage for the Pokebank and ensure that the launch will be smooth as silk.
The Pokebank has already been made available in Japan and its pending for the North America and European market. With a sudden extended maintenance going on, the prospect of seeing the Pokebank coming this week seems likely. It is best for the Pokemon community to constantly monitor the eShop for any flash update on the Pokebank.
Update: And just like that the maintenance update is over with no Pokebank announcement
