Here in the US, the EV market is blossoming at a rapid pace and leading the pack is the Nissan Leaf. Ever since the car went on sale at the end of 2010, it has landed on 76,407 different garages.
This puts it above the Chevrolet Volt that has only achieved 75,231, 1,176 short of the Nissan Leaf. This has also engraved the Leaf’s name in the record books as the bestselling EV vehicle around.
Of course, things are slowing down now with sales of the Leaf dropping by 27.5% last month. However, the successful Leaf will surely get refreshed with a brand new model soon.
On the downside of things, Nissan has yet to share on when a new generation of Leaf will be making its debut whereas Chevrolet has already made it known that a new Volt will be developed next year.
