The streets of Australia will be the running track for the supercars such as the McLaren 650S and the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante in just a few weeks. This is because the New South Wales police department has just gotten the two cars the under a temporary loan agreement with a local dealership.
The agreement will cover all vehicle costs by the dealer except the fuel expenses. Even though it is just temporary, both McLaren 650S and Aston Martin Vanquish Volante are given a NSW police makeover with white and blue decals to make their association with the police to be more noticeable.
The McLaren 650S, which costs AU$450, 000 or US$320, 000 gets a yellow color at its exterior whereas the Aston Martin Vanquish which is AU$500, 000 or around US$300, 000 to $350, 000 will be getting a sueve silver paint. The cars will not be used as police cars but as a way to help the force increases the public’s awareness to Public Legacy NSW.
Guess what? The cars will be driven by female police officers. Lucky them, right? This year marks the 100th year since the NSW police department hired its first female police officers. So, to celebrate the occasion, police debuted the cars on September 12, when they hold yearly tribute to officers who have sacrificed their lives for others.
