The 2015 New York Auto Show is going to happen next week and it will play host to the Mazda Mx-5 Miata Club Edition’s debut. This special version that is based on the latest Miata was announced by Mazda earlier today and it promises plenty of excitement.
Mazda described the Club Edition as a roadster that features an enhanced performance with maximum driving enjoyment to offer. As such, we can expect performance to get boosted from the original Miata in the Club Edition.
Unfortunately, Mazda failed to go into details so we will have to wait until the New York Auto Show happens before we can share the figures offered by the Miata Club Edition.
Even so, we don’t expect the special-made roadster to feature a different powertrain from the existing Miata. In other words, the upcoming Club Edition is expected to still run on the same 2L 4-cylinder engine but power output will be tweaked to be better than before.
