Over at Japan, Honda had just launched the all-new S660 Roadster and the vehicle is based on the concept model that was unveiled at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.
Apparently, the S660 is made to be much smaller than the Mazda Miata MX-5 as it only has 2-seats to offer. The S660 runs on a 660CC inline-three turbocharged engine and this is paired to a 6-speed manual transmission. Of course, there is the option for CVT transmission with paddle shifters thrown in the mix.
In terms of performance, the S660 Roadster is far behind the Mazda Miata and this is probably due to the small engine capacity. Regardless, the Miata should not take the S660 lightly as its design appeal and simple driving setup can turn gold for Honda.
