Here in the US, luxury European car drivers are able to live in cohesion with other drivers. Over at Europe, it is a totally different story. There, owners of the BMW, Mercedes and Audi will have to de-badge their vehicle to avoid trouble.
Well, there are actually two ways to look at this. The first is because of the bragging competition among drivers. Apparently, if you own a BMW, Mercedes or Audi but of the lower-end model, you will lose some pride when hanging out with the rich echelon.
In the second case is due to social stratification. Over at Europe, things are so bad that the middle class and lower class hates the upper class drivers. As such, any Mercedes, Audi or BMW will often suffer from scratches and other forms of vandalism.
So the solution is simple. Most BMW, Mercedes and Audi owners will tend to remove their vehicle’s badge and also the model name. This way, people will perceive it as a humble driver. For the rich, they will not know on the vehicle’s model. Call it weird but that is Europe for you.
