If there is one thing we learned about the G3 is that the smartphone is heavily inspired by the LG G Pro 2. Both devices are great in their own ways but which of them is truly better?
When putting the G3 and the G Pro 2 side-by-side, we noticed that the latter is larger due to its 5.9” screen that produces 373ppi. However, it is nowhere near as sharp as the G3 which has 538ppi to offer from its 5.5” display.
The larger screen on the G Pro 2 is also a burden for the device as it drains the 3200mAh battery at a quick rate. The G3 has a smaller 3000mAh battery but it is able to last so much longer.
In terms of speed, the G3 is equipped with the latest 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. This is slightly faster than the G Pro 2 thanks to it being more updated. The G Pro 2 runs on the 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor with Adreno 330 GPU.
Both devices are equipped with the same 13MP rear camera and 2.1MP front shooter. Despite that fact, the G3 is able to record videos at 4K quality while the G Pro 2 is only limited to 1080p quality.
Obviously, the G3 is the better device in this contest but the differences is a pretty narrow one. Nevertheless, it proves once again why the G3 is a major player in shaping the future of LG.
