There is a saying that if consumers are looking for a reliable car to drive, they will have to just look at the taxi. After all, this public transportation service is always moving and even with the highest mileage in the world, Taxis run without a problem.
If this theory is to be applied in the near future, then consumers must do whatever it takes to purchase the Lexus GS300H as their ideal hybrid vehicle. This is due to the fact that the Japanese luxury carmaker is currently developing the world’s best hybrid taxi that is based on the GS300H.
The vehicle was unveiled at the recent European Taxi Fair which took place at Cologne, Germany and it will look to do one better than the Toyota Prius.
Prices of the GS300H taxi retails at $48,600 and it is completed with features like automatic transmission, cruise control, 8-inch multi-function display, rearview camera, automatic climate control, leather seats with heating and electric seat and lumbar support adjustment, as standard.
Under the hood, the GS300H is powered by a 220hp 2.5L 4-cylinder engine that comes with an electric motor. This returns 4.7L/100km and C02 emission of only 109g/km.
