Kia GT Takes A Step Closer Into Production

Back in 2011, Kia unveiled a concept 4-door car that looks pretty and now, it appears that the vehicle is already getting developed by the South Korean automaker.

This is evident after Kia Motors America VP of product planning, Orth Hedrick, said earlier today

“I think for us the GT is a sedan so it has a lot broader appeal than a two-door coupe. They don’t do well here. They do really, really good for 18 months and then they really fall off. You can get just as much emotional experience in a sedan, a more practical car, than a coupe,”

In other words, Orth believe that a 4-door coupe will be more appealing and have a better prospect. As such, there is a huge chance for the Kia GT to get produced instead of a new generation of Stinger.

When the Kia GT arrives, it will be running on the 3.3L turbocharged V6 engine with 389hp to offer. Car junkies can consider the Kia GT to be a cheaper alternative to the BMW M3 and the upcoming Alfa Guilia.
