The latest Jeep Renegade is without a doubt a great vehicle but it is unfortunate that the compact SUV has not been selling well. This has raised fears that there won’t be any special edition model getting produced as there is a risk to go bust with the Renegade.
Now, those worries can be put to rest since Jeep has decided to go gung ho and announced on the Trailhawk version of the Renegade. The vehicle is day away from its debut and according to Jeep; it will be coming out with a base price of $26,990.
Unlike the other Renegade, the Trailhawk model actually has a trail rating. In conjunction to that the upcoming Renegade bright-red tow hook, knobby all-terrain tyres, high ground clearance and slimmer bumper.
Under the hood, the Renegade Trailhawk is powered by a 2.4L “Tigershark” 4-cylinder engine that is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. This produces 180hp and it I driven on the 17” wheels.
Like how it is for the other Renegades, the Trailhawk variant will be completed with ton of added options like Anvil paint, Trailer Tow Group, Passive Entry, remote engine starting, hood decal and many more.
