The brand Xiaomi is so exclusive in China that many consider it as the Apple brand of the Far East nation. The latest Mi 3 is a perfect example of how similar Xiaomi is to Apple, even though it runs on the Android OS. Today, we shall see how the Mi 3 will perform when compared the iPhone 5S.
Launched in November last year, the Mi 3 sports a 5” screen that offers 441ppi. Not only is bigger but it is also 35% sharper than 4” screen on the iPhone 5S. Despite having a larger screen, the Mi 3 is also able to last so much longer than the 5S, thanks to its 3050mAh battery. The 5S has a below-par 1570mAh battery.
In terms of performance, the iPhone 5S is known to run on the 1.3GHz, 2-core, Apple A7 processor with 1GB RAM and PowerVR G6430 GPU. This is so much slower than the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB RAM and Adreno 330GPU on the Mi 3.
Even on cameras, the Mi 3 is technically superior to its Apple counterpart. The device has a 13MP rear and 2MP front shooter, which is sharper than the 8MP rear and 1.2MP front on the Apple iPhone 5S.
By far, the Xiaomi Mi 3 is better than he iPhone 5S. The only good thing about the latter is the fact that it runs on the iOS platform, which has a smoothness that is unmatched by its rival.
