Back in October last year, Nissan unveiled the all-new Kicks Concept and now, the vehicle is getting produced for the Indian market. However, it won’t be identical to the concept that was unveiled in Brazil.
The compact SUV is going to come with a wheelbase that is shorter than 4 meter while still coming with the same styling as the Kicks in Brazil. This is so that the upcoming Kicks for the Indian automotive market will be in the cheaper tax bracket.
Of course, the shorter wheelbase will also mean that a different engine has to be opted for the vehicle. So instead of the usual 2L flex-fuel engines, the compact SUV is going to run on the smaller capacity 1.5L K9K diesel engine.
Unfortunately, details on this are still scarce at the moment but Indian consumers can look forward to more news on the Nissan Kicks before it makes its official debut somewhere next year.
