It is no secret that Hyundai has hired the services of a designer from Audi. Now, we can finally see on what the newly signed individual has got to offer as he penned the design of the upcoming Intrado Concept.
The study was unveiled yesterday and Hyundai described it as a technologically advanced vehicle in the making. The Intrado is an SUV that got its name from an aircraft part that created lift when taking off. With such a strong name, Hyundai claims that the SUV will be lightweight while being towed by a highly effective powertrain.
When looking at the Concept, it does look great with a nice bullet-style shape that sports some curvy lines around the body. Well, everything about the design is actually carefully planned to enhance performance. After all, Hyundai wishes for the vehicle to be aerodynamically efficient and free of unnecessary adornments.
The Intrado’s body is revealed to be developed with advanced super lightweight steel that will enhance crash performance and cut short repair times. The steel panels are fixed to a central carbon frame, thus confirming that the Intrado is durable but light.
Also, Hyundai break the norm of car designs by exposing the see-through air vents and the frame where the seats are clipped. The overall styling is coated in a bright orange paint that blends well with the exposed carbon fibre.
The Intrado will come equipped with a hydrogen fuel-cell powertrain that relies on a Li-ion 36kWh battery. The power pack can be refuelled in a matter of minutes and it comes with a range of 600km. This is something really amazing and will surely help combating the need for petrol.
