Tablets have never fallen out of trend due to their mobility and ideal replacement for a laptop. The latest Apple iPad Mini is regarded as one of the best tablets around but is it better than its arch-rival, the Google Nexus 7 2?
When comparing both tablets, the first thing consumers will notice is the difference in size. The Nexus 7 2 has a 7” screen that runs at 323ppi. The iPad Mini has a 7.85” screen that runs at 324ppi. However, the larger display panel on the iPad Mini means that it drains the battery faster.
In terms of speed, the Nexus 7 2 is powered by a 1.5GHz 4-Core processor with 2GB RAM. The Apple iPad Mini is slightly slower as it runs on a 1.3GHz 2-Core processor.
Both devices are on par in the field of photography as they are equipped with the same 5MP rear and 1.2MP front shooters. However, it is the iPad Mini that stays ahead as it is able to shoot videos at 1080p resolution.
Then again, there is no point to record hi-definition videos if the storage space is limited. The iPad Mini is heavily restricted by its 16GB internal memory. This isn’t the case for the Nexus 7 2 as it comes with a larger 32GB internal memory.
The difference between the two devices is really narrow and it is hard to single out a victor. We believe that it is down to the consumers’ preferences on whether they prefer the iOS or the Android system.
