Forget Jaguar F-Pace, Older Models Still Rule Supreme

The Bonhams Auctioneers would return to Monaco to present 40 handpicked, extraordinarily fabulous cars, and this time leading the event would be the fantastic 1952 Jaguar C-Type ‘XKC 011’. This very special sports-racing car was built for Jaguar for its works racing team in 1952, where Stirling Moss (famed for driving at the Le Mans) and Peter Walker teamed up to split driving duties.

Despite the C-Type not making to the finish line for its first race, Moss drove it again for several times, and other drivers too, consecutively. The current owner acquired the car in 1963, and has held onto it up until now, which will be showcased at the upcoming auctions.

Although Bonhams has not released a specific bidding price for the lovely XKC 011, according to the company’s auction specialist, it might have a chance to exceed $7.5 million. And for that to happen, we’ll be watching really closely during the auction.
