Owners of the Ford Fusion and Fiesta are facing common issue with their vehicle doors. Apparently, the doors on both the Fusion and Fiesta can open on its own even if they are locked from the inside.
This has led Ford to launch a recall for the aforementioned cars to get the issue fixed. Of course, not all Fusion and Fiesta are facing the issue. Ford revealed that the issue is affecting the Fusion that are manufactured in 2013 and 2014, as well as the Fiesta that are manufactured from 2012 to 2014.
Also, owners need to note that the affected models are those that are built in Hermosillo Assembly and Cuautitlan, which are located in Mexico.
Ford claims that the issue is actually with the broken pawl spring tab and the recall will see the component replaced on all four doors. Those affected by the recall can get the vehicle checked at the nearest Ford showroom this instant.
