Ford Escape Power Steering Issues Still Haunting Carmaker

About a year ago, Ford launched a recall of the Ford Escape manufactured between 2008 and 2011 due to an issue with the vehicle’s power steering.

In case you have forgotten, the Ford Escape has a problem where the torque sensor’s communication with the power steering control module could cut steering assistance for drivers.

Well, Ford offered a solution through replacing or updating the PSCM but this has failed to fix the power steering issue for every Ford Escape. Unfortunately, a small handful of the affected vehicles continue to come with the problem.

Now, NHTSA has heard the cries of the still-affected Edge owners and are launching a second investigation on the matter. Ford has found itself in a puddle of mud at the moment and they better resolve the situation rapidly.
