Ford Chooses Blackberry Over Microsoft?

Ford is saying goodbye to the long-serving Microsoft, as the carmaker welcomes Blackberry in developing the voice-recognition software system Sync 3.

This mere resemblance of the Siri system will definitely enhance safety across driving because of its voice-activated technology. Sync allows drivers to make voice calls, listen to music, voice-control, select apps and so much more (as these are just a few of what you can do). It’s also notable that there is a function in which there will no charges applicable for a 911-dial assist. Pretty handy, we must say.

The Blackberry QNX will run the future Sync 3, though Microsoft will still do the Sync 3’s updates. Further updates and handling will be developed by Blackberry on its own but it will still be dine at Microsoft’s Azure Cloud servers before being transmitted to the Sync 3 system. In addition, the Sync 3 is already considered to be in its last stage of development, and will be estimated for a release next year.

The entire MyFord Touch system is said to be replaced by the new infotainment system that will make its debut at the 2016 Lincoln and Ford vehicles. We certainly can’t wait to get our hands behind the wheel in order to test it for ourselves.
