Ford: Are Employees Modern Day Slaves?

It might come to the relief of every Ford lovers upon hearing that the carmaker is going to cut short the break time of their employees so that they can achieve a bigger production output but it also sounds cruel at the same time.

In case you are unaware, Ford is cutting their employees’ summer break time from 2 weeks to 1 week. This will affect all their workers that are centred in Kansa City, Louisville and Dearborn Truck.

The move promises a bigger production output. In figures, Ford is expecting to produce about 40,000 more units of their popular models like the Edge, Escape, Explorer and F-Series.

Unfortunately, the ones suffering are the employees. It sounds as if Ford has forced the workers with more tasks while cutting their play time short. All we can do is hope that the employees are paid better for this extra work or we will have to label Ford as an evil corporation.
