It seems that almost every car produced by Ferrari are prone to catch fire. This is further evident after the LaFerrari was involved in a recall due to a suspected adhesive fuel tank that is prone to catch fire.
It is as if Ferrari cars need a fire hazard issue since we can’t remember the last time a Ferrari don’t come with one. To make things even worse, Ferrari hate to refer it as a recall. Instead, the prestigious carmaker opted to call it as an invitation to LaFerrari owners to get a new painted fuel tank.
The moment when Ferrari used the term invitation basically means that LaFerrari owners have the rights to turn down the service and continue to drive their car with the fire hazard.
Perhaps, Ferrari feels that the LaFerrari is a hot car and it deserves to have a fire hazard. Only this will explain why the ‘recall’ is made to be optional for the owners.
