Weapons in the Fallout series have enjoyed a consistent upgrade. It is one aspect of the game that can be improved on with every Fallout title. With Fallout 4 being rumoured to be in development, fans have expressed ideas that will take weapons to a whole new level.
In the latest discussion involving the highly anticipated fourth sequel, Fallout fans agreed that single-handed weapons like pistols and sawn-off shotguns should have the option to dual-wield. This will bless players with double the power and damage. On the other hand, players can no longer aim down their sights which will drastically reduce the accuracy of the weapons. On top of that, maintaining the weapons will be much more costly and the weight of having two weapons will have its effects on the players.
Then there are the elements of weapon modification. The Hunting Rifle in Fallout can be equipped with a scope. This is useful for long range kills. However, it is a death trap when going against enemies at close range. As such, players should have the skill to remove any attachments at will. On another note, the game developer should introduce night vision scopes for all weapons instead of restricting it to a few.
Following that is with crafting weapons. Tools of killing in Fallout will wear and tear. It is nice of Bethesda to add in logic in the game. However, repairing a weapon can be a pain. The game developer should allow other weapons to be broken down into parts to repair other weapons.
Finally is the possibility of designing your own weapons. Fallout is a single-player game and perhaps, players can design and build their own tools of killing. Even just by imprinting a name on the barrel will show sign of progress in this field.
All in all, these are something that fans are hoping to come in Fallout 4. Of course, the bigger hope is with the game’s development itself.
