The iOS 7.1 was introduced and distributed by Apple about a month ago and there have been a lot of worries from the jailbreak community. Rumours claim that Jailbreak developer, Evasd3rs, is taking a long break and will return for the iOS 8. However, the unexpected happened.
Evad3rs has been working in quiet and has released the iOS 7.1 jailbreak. It was first thought to be the works of Winocm but the team of jailbreakers was in the mix as well. While it might sound like great news, the jailbreak is limited to certain iPhone models only.
Alphawired that the iOS 7.1 jailbreak is compatible to the iPhone 4. This is due to the device running on the A4 processor which is totally breached by the jailbreak community. The iPhone 5 is running on the A5 processor and above which requires a lot of time to penetrate.
As for the impatient folks who jumped on the official iOS 7.1 update, there is no hope for them and they will have to wait until the iOS 8 jailbreak is out.
The iOS 7.1 jailbreak might be limited at the moment but it is a positive sign of progress. It goes to show that the jailbreakers and hackers will not be silenced. So if you’re a fourth-generation iPhone user, you are in luck. As for newer Apple devices, it is best to stay put and wait for their respective jailbreak.
