Some years ago, Motorola made a name for itself as it created a revolutionary device called the Droid RAZR Maxx HD. Similarly, Samsung had just got accredited for producing what is the best phablet in the world, the Galaxy Note 3. Between the two, which is better?
At a glance, one can easily see that the Note 3 is the larger of the two. It sports a 5.7” screen that offers 386ppi. This is 24% sharper than the 312ppi produced by the Maxx HD’s 4.7” screen. Then again, the larger display means that battery drains faster for the Note 3. It doesn’t help when it goes again the Maxx HD, which is well-known for its unbeatable battery life.
However, the Note 3 is so much faster than the Maxx HD. The former runs on the 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB RAM and Adreno 330 GPU while the latter is powered by a 1.5GHz 2-core Snapdragon S4 with 1GB RAM and Adreno 225 GPU.
The Maxx HD is equipped with a decent 8MP rear and 1.3MP front cameras but it is no match for the 13MP rear and 2.1MP front shooter on the Galaxy Note 3.Furthermore, the Samsung phablet can record videos at 4K, which the Maxx HD couldn’t.
As good as the battery life on the Maxx HD may be, its lack of power made it the second best device in this contest. The Note 3 is the obvious victor. Besides, the phablet comes with so many functions, particularly when the S-Pen is pulled out.
