Romanian carmaker, Dacia, has confirmed that it will be producing a pickup truck, based on the Duster. The company participated in the recent Sao Paulo auto show where it unveiled the Duster Oroch pickup concept.
For a carmaker that is famous for producing cheap but reliable, dependable and durable vehicles, the Duster Oroch certainly looks magnificent and expensive. There is those orange accents striking out of the white paint, a panoramic roof, 18” alloy wheels and a rack for kite surfing boards.
Dacia revealed that the Oroch is a lifestyle vehicle. This explains why the pickup truck is equipped with water-proof material on the door, dashboard and seats. Also, there is a pair of rear-facing cameras to capture special sporting moments.
Of course, Dacia didn’t share on the sort of powertrain resting under the Oroch’s hood. Regardless, the carmaker did promise that they will stick as close as possible to the concept for the production model.
