Consumers Find Ford F-150 Too Hot To Handle

Whenever a car is suspected to come with faulty parts, the manufacturer will always notify of the issue and perform a recall. Unfortunately, some cases managed to slip away from the carmaker.

This could be the case for Ford, after the 2012 F-150 burst into flames for the second time this year. The latest happening occurred yesterday in central Florida and it placed the lives of a family in jeopardy.

The couple, Patrick and Kim Perkins from Seminole County, revealed that they noticed smoke coming out of the front vents of the vehicle. This happened right after Patrick turned the key to ‘On’ so that he could start the defroster and warm the truck before sending his daughter, McKenzie Perkins, to school.

The ten-year old kid revealed that she was choking from the smoke. Upon exiting the vehicle, the F-150 started an inferno in a matter of seconds. McKenzie then cried out for her mother to dial 911.

For the couple, it was the most worrying sight after seeing their daughter being exposed to a huge risk of being killed by the flame. On the other hand, Patrick revealed that the F-150 was problem free, up until when the incident occurred.

In a way, there is the possibility that the issue could have some links with the first firing F-150 case that took place in Pennsylvania. The victim, Brian Szalbofka, shared that he was walking into the Wawa store in Collegeville only to discover that his F-150 was in flames minutes later.

There is no telling on what could have led both pickup trucks from the same manufacturing year to catch fire. Ford better hope that it is not caused by faulty parts because if it is, they will be in serious trouble.
