Imagine driving on the freeway when suddenly the brakes fail to function. Surely, that is one scenario every driver would want to not experience.
This basically explains why General Motors has launched an urgent recall involving the Cadillac CTS-V that was built from September 6, 2003 to June 11, 2007. However, GM is prioritizing the CTS-V that is registered in cold weather states.
This is because the roads in cold weather states features rock salts and this can damage the CTS-V at a faster rate. The salt is able to corrode the front brake hose’s that are fitted in the brake calipers, hence causing the braking function to fail.
GM shared that the recall affects a total of 4,900 CTS-V models and they must be registered in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin, or the District of Columbia.
The recall will basically replace the wear and tear parts and owners of the Cadillac CTS-V are advised to act fast. After all, it will be fatal if the Cadillac CTS-V can’t brake to stop.
