Like the BMW X5, X6 and X7, the upcoming X1 which drives on the FWD system is going to come in a variety as well. This is confirmed after BMW was spotted trademarking the X2 Sport name that strongly suggests on a coupe version of the X1.
This was further teased by the BMW community, which revealed that the X2 will also come with sloping roof while also running on the FWD system too. After all, both the X1 and X2 are built on the ULK1 platform, that has a front-wheel architecture.
Size-wise, the X2 can be said to share the same measurements with the Mini Paceman. Of course, there isn’t much on the styling front except for the obvious; which is the X2 have many similarities with the X1.
To differentiate both models, BMW is said to give the X2 a new-looking roof and rear section, together with haunches that are more pronounced than before.
Of course, there has yet to be any concept revealed at the moment but consumers can refer to the works of Theophiluschin to get a rough idea on how the X2 will look like. The independent artist had just shared his rendition of the vehicle and it fits every description above well.
