Earlier today, BMW announced that the sports car which is being developed by them, together with Toyota, has moved to the concept phase as how it was planned. The German carmaker revealed that the Concept is successfully completed with technical feasibility.
Despite that fact, many rumours suggest that the sports car in question will be the direct replacement for the Z4 roadster. Some rumours went as far as suggesting it to be called the Z5. The latter is said to come equipped with carbon fiber tub similar to the i3 and i8.
Also, the word is that the vehicle in development will run on a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that has outputs of 190 bhp (141 kW), 245 bhp (182 kW) and 270 bhp (201 kW).
Heck, BMW might also be creating the top-of-the-line Z5 M, which will draw its power from a turbocharged six-cylinder engine with roughly 425 bhp (317 kW).
Since the concept is already plotted, we may see it coming into creation in the coming months, or possibly making its way to the future Detroit Auto Show.
