When it comes to German luxury automakers, BMW is the most popular of them all and Audi is in third place, behind Mercedes-Benz. However, things are different today with Audi really catching up to BMW.
As a matter of fact, the luxury carmaker has already surpassed BMW in the field of SUV. This was confirmed by chief executive of Audi, Rupert Stadler, when he claimed that the company has sold more SUVs than BMW in recent times.
Rupert claims that Audi is on-track to surpass BMW entirely by 2020. The lad applauded the Q1, all the way to the Q8, which offers a great deal of variety to the consumers. Regardless of which SUV consumers purchase from Audi, they will all get to enjoy a higher driving position with enhanced safety.
Even, on the performance front, an Audi SUV is still the brand to go for. Rupert claims that the Q7 offers an exhilarating driving experience due to the A8 genetics that flows within it.
For us, we are amazed by this as we find the Q-series the least interesting luxury SUV around. Their design are repetitive and the styling is never pretty enough for us to appreciate. Hence, we can’t wait to check out on how BMW will respond to this.
