In the US sedans are one of the most popular types of vehicle. So here we take the Honda Accord, Mazda 6, Ford Fusion and the Toyota Camry and take a look to find out which the best is.
All of the cars offer the same size on the interior and the exterior, they offer four doors, have a similar powertrain and come with plenty of tech to ensure that the price tag of about $30,000 is worth it. We also factored in the handling of the car, its ride, fuel economy and haulage.
Anyone wanting a vehicle for day to day use may want to check out the Toyota Camry. It has the biggest interior and cargo space and you can fold down the seats to give plenty of leg and shoulder room. However it has responses that are dull and the ride is a predictable one.
The Ford Fusion has an interior that is clean looking but stark and there are some controls that can be hard to use. The engine is the 1.6 litre EcoBoost and this comes out as the slowest and worst when it comes to fuel efficiency. On the plus side is the fact that the car looks great and it offers a good ride.
The Honda Accord has views that are great from inside the cabin and seating that is supportive and comfortable. The suspension is superb and it offers steering that is accurate. There is a lot of room in the vehicle and it offers an engine that is 2.4 litres CVT with 4 cylinders.
The design of the Mazda 6 is tight and the car is sleek looking and offers steering that is precise and crisp. It offers a cabin that would look right at home in the BMW Motorsport catalogue and there is plenty of padding. It offers enough room for two adults along with a child seat and you should be able to get about 35.6mpg from it.
