Audi Prologue: Caught Stealing Ford Grille Or Natural Evolution?

Later this year, Audi will be looking to launch a brand new large sedan and it will be known as the Prologue. The future car is said to come with a 4-litre twin turbo V8 engine that generates 677hp.

Obviously, the Prologue is going to be an overpowered performance sedan. While the power output might deserve some applause, it is unfortunate that the Prologue is very unoriginal with its design.

For those that have caught a glimpse at the Prologue, they will surely agree when we say that the grille looks like they were taken from the Ford Fusion. This has actually sparked many conflicts between Ford’s fans and Audi’s fans.

Many companies use their own iteration of a hexagonal grille. But Audi has had theirs far longer than most other companies. Over time it evolves naturally as the brand’s design language evolves, but the grille is still distinctly Audi. This is why it is unfortunate that Audi has decided to change it and opted for one that looks near-identical to the grille on the Ford Fusiion.

With that being said, it is now difficult to see the Prologue as a leader of sports sedans. Even with so much power and the best automotive technology, the Prologue will be remembered for plagiarism.
