This is until last month, when a new S-Class was released which forces us to compare it with the A8 and Range Rover.
Looking at the Range Rover, it is a luxury SUV that is built with some enhanced off-road technology. However, readers shouldn’t be fooled by its vicious exterior as inside the vehicle, everything can be described as a 5-star hotel room. The luxurious interior can be compared to the S-Class and A8 in most ways and the added Terrain Response system gives the Range Rover an extra edge against its competitors.
On the other hand, both Range Rover and Audi A8 lack the x-factor which only Mercedes has. The new S-Class is illuminated in brilliance both figuratively and literally. Inside the cabin, floor lights, door lights, roof lights and many other lights help build an ambience. Furthermore, consumers can toggle from 7 different lighting colours to sets up the mood in the interior.
In terms of rear leg room, the A8 and the S-Class are on par with each other. The Range Rover, on the other hand, came short as it offers a smaller rear leg room. Despite that fact, it is the S-Class that triumphs due to its lower seating positions that offers better comfort. The rear seats on the A8 are too elevated.
This is enough to convince why the Mercedes S-Class is top of the chain in the field of comfort. The sedan is also equipped with a 2.1-litre diesel with an electric motor which ensures that is environmental friendly as well.
