Aston Martin stepped out of the shadows earlier today to tease on their future cars. Speaking to the public was the company’s CEO, Palmer, and he claims that the new emission rulings that are being implemented on a global scale will see the birth of Aston Martin hybrids.
Palmer shared that Aston Martin has two options to reduce emissions. They can either downsize the engine or simply apply a hybrid system on the vehicle.
Palmer then confirms that swapping a V12 and V8 for an inline-4 will not happen at all. Hence, this means that Aston Martin will venture into the world of hybrid but not with fuel efficiency in mind. The electric motors will be utilized to boost power instead.
This is very typical of Aston Martin. For decades already, the carmaker has produced many cars that are never environmental friendly. Even on the hybrid system, Aston desires more power.
