At the moment, the new Dodge Challenger and SRT Charger Hellcat are supplied with the HEMI 6.2-litre V8 engine, 707 horsepower and 880Nm of torque. But there will be a change to this: they will get a new turbocharged engine soon.
Before the Dodge Challenger and SRT Charger Hellcat are made available in the market, the V8 aspirated 6.4-litre engine was initially used and it offers up to 485 horsepower and 644Nm of torque. Once the new cars are produced, they will come with the four-cylinder twin-turbo or six-cylinder with twin-turbo engine.
For now, let’s just sit tight and wait to see whether the news will become a reality or not. It is claimed that the turbocharged engines for the Dodge Challenger and SRT Charger Hellcat will arrive only in 2019.
Once the two cars are turbocharged, they will undoubtedly be better as it will become more fuel-efficient.
