Both really extraordinary cars, but so difficult to choose. We’re talking about the 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and the BMW M3 that’s recently been on display at the LA Auto Show.
Being dubbed as the “Ferrari for half price”, the Giulia is a very high-performance car with 505 horsepower, 2.9-litre twin-turbo V6 engine and claims a Nürburgring time of just 7:39, it’s safe to say it’s the quickest ever for a sedan. And this is only the second high performance car Alfa Romeo has ever presented to the US after almost two decades, so imagine what will they offer in their third installment. Pretty sure it’s going to be mind-blowing too.
From the outside, the Giulia bears a fierce-looking frontal with an aggressive front fascia with the signature-shaped grille along with xenon headlamps as well as daytime running lights. The overall car is also light on its own and it’s all due to the use of carbon fibre in the fender, doors, hood, roof and rear spoiler. This will inevitably raise the car performance, making it swifter.
While the BMW M3 is unlikely to share the limelight with the Alfa Romeo Giulia, the former will definitely sound better all thanks to the Ferrari-tuned twin-turbo V6 engine. But to actually stack up as a driver’s car and to be seen on the open roads is something we’ll be looking forward to see. But, whatever it is, we’ll go for the Giulia at anytime.
