Looking back at the last Beijing Auto Show, Jeep unveiled four new concept vehicles and they are the Renegade-based Zi You Xia, the Wrangler Sundancer and the Cherokee Sageland and Urbane. Jeep claims that all four concepts are built with China in mind.
The Jeep Zi You Xia, for example, is finished in Chocolate Gray with contrasting Dark Anodized Bronze accents, while the roof panel, grille surrounds and door mirror caps are painted Dark Charcoal. Z I You Xia is Chinese for rebel which explains why the car is painted in dark colours.
Then there is the Wrangler Sundancer. Jeep revealed that this concept represents China’s wealth. This is why the Sundancer is painted in Chocolate Brown with gold accents striking out of the primary colour. Even the interior are all painted in gold.
Moving on, we have the Jeep Cherokee Sageland and Urbane. The former is built with rural China in mind. To be precise, Jeep claims that the Sageland is everything Shangri La is if turned into a vehicle. It sports Ivory tri-coat Pearl with Satin Bronze chrome accents. The interior seats are all stitched with Chinese knot design to represent the nation’s rich culture.
The Urbane, on the other hand, is totally different from the Sageland. It symbolize modern day China with a city lifestyle design. The exterior is painted in Maximum Steel with Hyper Black accents making up its roof rack, door mirror caps, grille collars, front and rear fascias, wheel finishings, vehicle badging and antenna.
Inside the vehicle, everything is painted in Piano Black. However, the Urbane is still part of the Chinese cultural movement as it sports Chinese calligraphy all over its interior.
