The vehicle will come as quite a relief to some people but other vehicles to come from Jeep have given up on them and gone for the independent suspensions. Rear solid axles typically are not the best for fuel economy and Jeep do want to make their vehicles greener.
Jeep will be looking to make the 2018 Jeep Wrangler greener as they will make it from aluminium parts. Right now the details about the vehicle are pretty scarce and it will run on a turbocharged small displacement engine that may bring down the emissions drastically.
