Toyota has joined forces with BMW as both companies aim to benefit each other in the development of the future Supra and Z4. Looking at the Supra, it leaves us wondering on how the partnership BMW can further improve the vehicle.
However, we never thought that the future Supra is going to be totally different from its predecessors. This was suggested the latest rumours as they believe that the Supra will be nothing more than a shell for BMW’s mechanism.
In other words, the rumours are indicating that the next-gen Supra is merely going to be a body whereas everything else is developed by BMW. This means that the Supra is going to run on a BMW-built engine with BMW-like performance to offer.
Of course, the above are based on rumours and they are best taken with a pinch of salt. There is simply no way to tell for sure on how the next-gen Supra is going to be made like and we trust Toyota to contribute more than just the framework of the future sports car.
