Audi has confirmed that it will be producing its very first electric-powered SUV and it will be badged as the Q6. As how it was revealed by CEO Rupert Stadler, the vehicle is going to be sexy, packed with utility and sporty at the same time.
We already have EV cars running all around us but not an EV SUV. This is why many car junkies are avoiding having high hopes for the EV Q6 as the SUV might not offer a great driving range.
Well, Rupert Stadler has a different view on this and he claims that the future vehicle will be able to travel at least for 300miles. Rupert shared that it is Audi’s first priority to achieve 300miles and find it possible to achieve thanks to the new lightweight technology in the industry.
If Audi is going to deliver their promise, then the Q6 EV will surely be a hot vehicle once it makes its debut in 2018. Development on the vehicle is already in progress and we might see a mock model getting unveiled next year.
